I adore Queen Latifah. For multiple reasons. But as I have taken this path as a blogger, there are a few specific things that she has done that really inspire me and make me love her even more…
Like, her show. Firstly, CONGRATS to her for scoring a renewal of the show for another season! This is great! Having a woman of color AND a woman who has been repping (even if she doesn’t know it) for the big girls, I have a sense of pride seeing her slay on TV! I grew up on Queen Latifah, watching her videos and listening to her rap about U.N.I.T.Y and to me, she embodied a strong confident woman. Ever since my introduction to her, I have been a fan.
I could go on, BUT I this post also spotlights something else quite noticeable… her style and fashion sense. Over the years, her style has transformed into a bit of glam rock and chic edge and I love it all. Which brings me to her show…
Over on The Queen Latifah Show, she gives us flawless hair and makeup with outfits to match and today, I wanted to share with you a few of my favorites and to share with you one of the coolest things she does regarding her personal style and the show:
She does outfit posts!
YEP!
Well, not in the sense of how we do them on blogs, but she has outfit recaps of her looks and I think this is absolutely brilliant! Down to the accessories, you can find out every single outfit she rocks on the show! From the looks of it, I am guessing Queen Latifah is a solid 16 ish. Given how tall she is too? Yeah, a size 16 ish… And I love that her range of style is both accessible and polished.
SO what I did is round up my favorite looks over the past few months! And shared the links and the deets she shared too! How cool is this??? Now as you are reading, I must note that not all of her looks are from plus size designers… quite a few are from brands that carry sizes through 18 or 20 and sometimes the full size ranges… just a note! See one you love, just click the picture to go to the post! 🙂 Okay, here we go:
