Looking for plus size wear to work options? Studio by Torrid is the new collection delivering comfort, fashion and professional style, up through a size 30.
When Marie Claire announced that TJ MAXX would be carrying and selling plus sizes- online, I was so intrigued! I mean, part of me was like ABOUT DAMN TIME! And then ohhh nooo, my credit card… Starting today, TJ MAXX has launched their plus size shop, including the likes of Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, ABS by Allen Schwartz, and various designers who cater to the various needs of our fashionable lives.
I mean have you seen the TJ Maxx and Marshalls commercials? They have the plus size models we know from various retailers, living life all chill-like in them! Matter of fact, I found one:
I remember the first time I watched one of these commercials and literally blurted out- “OH! A plus size model! LOOK!” Wouldn’t you? We hardly see plus size models included in commercials for stores that carry plus (Old Navy, Target, Macys are just a few that come to mind). Think about it. Do you know of any other commercials that show that we exist with them? Happily? Fashionably? Hrmph.
So the news of them including plus online was both exciting and welcomed for me! I mean, gives me another place to deal shop (next to Ideel, Hautelook, Zulily, and All Modern- obvs totally hooked)! I am not sure why Marie Claire said up to a size 20, most are available pup to a 3x and 24W in denim. (The type of designers are mixed from junior plus and missy/traditional plus) so maybe this is why? But just like in store, not all sizes should be expected to be in stock! So if you see it, get it immediately!
Prays for my budget and credit card… I already have found three or four plus size picks (a dress, some rings, a pair of jeans) and I am pressing buy the second I finish this post! Hehehehe!
