Allow us to reintroduce you all to Courtney Noelle, independent plus size fashion designer and one of our DAY ONE’s! We’re sure you are no stranger to her empowering and cutting edge fashion brand. She’s been rocking with us for a long time and it’s always a pleasure having her apart of the TCFStyle Expo. Courtney Noelle is based out of the fashion capital, New York. Her signature collection includes evening wear, ready-to-wear, cocktail attire, and the newly released active wear. You’ve seen her designs all over the plus fashion scene on your favorite plus size bloggers and influencers. She creates timeless and trendy pieces that every girl can feel good wearing.

1. What is the story behind your brand? *

Courtney Noelle was created to push the boundaries of plus size fashion.

2. Why this focus? *

Plus-size women deserve to be seen and celebrated as part of the fashion industry.

3. What inspired you to get into fashion?

I was tired of the lack of fashion-forward pieces available to women with bodies like mine. So I decided to create womenswear that highlights the women less often seen in fashion editorials.

4. Are you self taught/passion driven or did you go to school for this?

I am self-taught.

5. What or Who is your style/design inspiration?

Black women are my main source of inspiration and I design with a certain attitude in mind.

6. What has been the biggest success of your brand, to date?

The biggest success would have to be when I was invited to be on Good Morning America’s segment, “Plus-Size Garments Go High Fashion”.

7. What would be one of the biggest style myths in Plus Size or Big & Tall Fashion?

Monolithic plus size customer.

8. How do you think the plus size industry has grown over the years?

The plus size industry has expanded but we still have a long way to go.

9. Have you attended or been a vendor at the expo before? If not, tell us your past experiences, if so, let us know what you are looking forward to!

Yes! I’ve been at every expo and love the positive vibe.

10. What can the attendees of the TCFStyle Expo look forward to seeing from you?

Attendees can look forward to seeing a new look.
