It’s cold. For me, me and the cold do NOT mix well! Seriously! I had been asked before, about where to get tights, and thought to share with you some of my haunts and places that offer great selections, styles, and sizes!
I mean, tights are no longer boring, dull, and stale. There are fancy styles and prints, thigh highs that are cheeky and playful, and so much more! Now, know there are more than five places, but I wanted to give you a great place to start!
When it comes to plus-size shapewear you already know that the SPANX brand has you covered, and that translates to tights as well! You may not be able to find the bright colors and funky prints here, but you definitely know that they will be durable and fit like a glove.
The name pretty much says it all! Just My Size has a nice collection of tights that are ideal for work, a night out on the town or when you just really wanna give your trusty leggings a bit of a break while still keeping your legs warm.
This has to be one of the most diverse range of options that I have seen, especially in sizing. While One Stop Plus may use their feed, there are quite a lot to choose from here!
For all you modern fashionistas out there who love to express your personality through your tights, Torrid is the place for you! With an incredibly diverse print/pattern selection and extended sizing, you find a host of tights to suit every mood.
I have a nice array of patterned tights, a few in various hues, and they rock out for me! In stores you will find some great choices up to a 3x and Merona has a few too online!
From the popular ASOS Curve line, the tights here sell out pretty quickly, so if you see a particular style you like, add to your shopping cart fast! The sizing is also pretty standard for plus hosiery and if you’re lucky, you’ll find some pops of color too.

HI! I have one more please if I may. Citychic.com has some . I have three pair and they are wonderul! I live in the north and I am racking up for the snow (tommorrow) and my trip home(NYC) Its cold where im at and there too so these tights do the trick! And I use nordstrom.evans and torrid. Oh and target!!!!! they go to a 2x-3x I believe.
I’m having a really difficult time finding opaque tights for my weight AND height. I ordered two pairs from WeLoveColors and both were too small (I bought the largest size, which is meant for someone 50lb larger than me and they still wouldn’t go up past my thighs) so now I’m stuck. I need white opaque tights for my wedding in March. I’m around 315lb, 5’10, and I have a pear shape. I’ve check every site mentioned on this page so far, as well as Lane Bryant, Torrid, ModCloth, and more. I’m at a loss.
Hello, I’m 5’11 and about a size 22 on the bottom, my issue over and over with tights or panty hose is that they sneak down and I end up with penguin crotch!! I hate this but want to wear more opaque tights. Does anyone have a brand they recommend for a taller plus girl that’s crotch stays put??
I’m desperately trying to find some cute snuggly THIGH high socks! I’m not a fan of the ‘Over The Knee’ fit on myself and I can’t seem to find a place that sells the high socks I want! I have 33″ thighs and I really want some comfy socks that will stay up and also not cut my circulation off in the process!
I used to be able to get queen size tall thigh high stockings from Sears. They fit perfectly, and were reasonably priced. Sears however has since gone out of business and they are no longer available through them. Does anyone know where I can get suitable Replacements in that size.

Re/Dress sells some “one size” that fit 1x-5x.
These are simply THE BEST, because they’re mostly cotton, and come in decent sizes – nylon is so horrible! These last a very, very long time, and are the most comfortable tights I have ever worn.
