Gotta Have It: City Chic Floral Bloom Plus Size Blazer

Yesterday, I did a post about my denim review with William Rast, but what REALLY intrigued half of you was the jacket I was wearing, so of course I had to share the deets! The jacket was from City Chic (as well as the peplum top too!)

If you are familiar, I got the jacket from City Chic, the Australian Plus Size Retailer who is making a few serious moves in the fashion game stateside. I have quite a developing closet from them and you should definitely be checking for them… anyways, the blazer! This gotta have it is a must!

The Floral Bloom Plus Size Blazer from City Chic

I am usually not one to gravitate to flowers and florals. HOWEVER, the sharp tailoring of this blazer, the contrasting side stripe, and pairing of this print make for a yummy combination. ALSO, having such a higher defined waist, one-button blazers are divine. THIS one surprisingly fit me soooo well!

The jacket is lined with a “classic collar, shoulder pads, full length sleeves, single button fastening and 2 mock welt pockets at the hips.” BUT what really impresses me with this jacket is the detailing in the wrists. There is a hidden elastic wrist detail! Allowing for movement, room, and comfort! WOOT!

I can imagine this blazer with more denim, polished with a midi dress; playful for spring with some tailored shorts or romper, and I could go on! Basically, there are a lot of options here…

  1. I like your blog. I started dressing women 20 years ago. I specialize in large sizes but with a French couture twist. Loved the boot idea and pined it.
