Hey y’all!!! April is finally here. If you’re like me, then you know the weather is touch and go, regardless of the coast. Even if you’re anywhere else in the country, the weather is touch and go. Rain and sun on the same day. Rain and sleet on next day. Then 60 degrees and (partly cloudy) another day. What’s a girl to do? I say it’s about being prepared. Preparedness means you have a great umbrella and rainboots to get you through various seasons. Commuting in the rain is already a trial, but when you’re prepared it seems to make it easier.
Personally, if you can locate a good waterproof bag, a watch that can withstand the water and something to keep your clothes protected (coat, boots), you’re ahead of the game. Because I am always walking in DC, I actually prefer not to have an umbrella! I know it’s hard to believe but it’s a hassle to me. So I rely on a good bag, a good set of rain boots and interchangeable coats to get me through – unless it’s a torrential downpour. Let’s take a look at a few items:
