Founded in 2015 by singer, actress, and entrepreneur Kierra Sheard, Eleven60 was created after years of frustration with the limited availability of high-quality contemporary fashion in extended sizes. As a plus-size woman herself, Sheard wanted clothing that reflected luxury, sophistication, and current runway trends instead of the casual or clubwear that dominated much of the plus-size market. Named in honor of her mother, gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard, whose birthday falls in November 1960, Eleven60 blends polished tailoring with bold contemporary styling. Early collections featured vegan leather, structured peplums, dramatic outerwear, tailored dresses, jumpsuits, suiting, and elevated separates inspired by international fashion while remaining wearable for professional and special occasions. The brand gained national attention shortly after its launch through features in The Curvy Fashionista, appearances during Full Figured Fashion Week, and later participation in The Workshop at Macy’s, which helped expand the brand’s retail presence. Eleven60 debuted on Macys.com in 2018, bringing its contemporary plus-size collections to a wider audience. Today, Eleven60 continues to operate as an independent fashion label, offering dresses, suiting, knitwear, outerwear, and occasionwear that balance classic silhouettes with trend-driven details. The brand remains recognized for creating polished, fashion-forward apparel designed specifically for curvy women rather than adapting straight-size designs.
