Curvique Bridal Boutique

Curvique Bridal Boutique was founded by Kameisha Johnson and opened in Marietta, Georgia in 2015 as one of the few bridal boutiques in the Southeast focused specifically on plus-size brides. The boutique was created to address the frustrations many curvy women experienced when shopping for wedding gowns in traditional bridal salons. The salon carried bridal gowns in sizes 16-30 and centered its experience around allowing brides to try on dresses that actually fit, rather than imagining how a smaller sample might look once ordered in their size. The boutique emphasized personalized consultations, body confidence, and a supportive shopping environment. Curvique Bridal Boutique worked directly with manufacturers to offer couture-inspired bridal gowns at more accessible price points than many traditional bridal retailers. The brand became known within the plus-size bridal community for advocating greater representation and choice for curvy brides.
