Curvique Bridal Boutique

Founded by Kameisha Johnson, Curvique Bridal Boutique opened its doors in August 2015 in Marietta, Georgia, with the mission of creating a bridal shopping experience where plus-size brides felt celebrated rather than excluded. At a time when many bridal salons stocked few extended-size samples, Curvique focused exclusively on serving curvy brides with gowns they could actually try on. The boutique carried wedding gowns in sample sizes 16 through 30, allowing brides to experience the same excitement and confidence as straight-size shoppers. Curvique emphasized private consultations with trained bridal stylists who focused on helping each bride find the right gown rather than simply the right size. Another defining feature of the boutique was its commitment to affordability. By working closely with manufacturers and reducing intermediary costs, Curvique offered couture-inspired bridal gowns at more accessible price points than many traditional bridal salons. The boutique quickly became a welcomed destination for plus-size brides throughout the Atlanta area. Although the boutique is no longer operating, Curvique Bridal Boutique remains an important part of the growth of dedicated plus-size bridal retail in the southeastern United States and helped pave the way for more inclusive bridal shopping experiences.
