San Francisco based plus size brand, Igigi has released its latest summer collection and it is nice. Sexy, bold, sassy, and on trend, this collection is a new direction in what we have seen from Igigi. Yes, the romantic dresses and maxi, but structure and body conscious fits are new, yet quite a welcomed delivery.
โInto The Blue is a mixture of curve enhancing dresses and separates that feature subtle design details in the seasonโs hottest trends. Criss-crossing on the empire waist, asymmetric draping, ruching and pleating are used to highlight curves in bold palettes, print blocking, black and white combinations, and high-low hemlines fit for the summer.โ
And the location? I loved that they shot this at San Franciscoโs historic Cliff House by the Sutro Baths in Ocean Beach.
โFor summer we definitely wanted to inject bright new colors and more prints and use them in new ways. We also wanted to keep with what we know are our strengths when it comes to draping and pleating but build off it and make it more complex but still flattering. Our thought throughout the whole process was โ get outside your comfort zone and take little risks here and there while still staying true to what we already know โ we hope it paid off!โ said the IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel Design Team.
This collection features print-blocked Lily, Ariel and Dani dresses that give an Igigi take on color blocking and the Letta Maxi plays with mesh and sheer insets (something I think we have not seen from Igigi that I can remember). Lace and metallic? Alright Igigi I see you!
I love Igigiโs clothing, I really like the white dress and purple one. SEXY!

Iโm confused, actually. Except for the bottom row of three dresses side-by-side, none of the dresses featured here are on their site. Which means none of the ones I love are on there.

Igigi only cuts for one body type, and itโs DEFINITELY not mine. Iโm not a plus size brick house! No tiny waist here! Nothing for me to buy there. Nice styles, but they are all very waist-conscious, and mine is not one to call attention to!
