Plus Size Art Spotlight: Animator and Designer Gabriele Pennacchioli

Sharing is caring!

I was perusing instagram, as I was looking for more #TCFStyle ladies to feature and then I stumbled upon the amazing plus size art from Gabriele Pennacchioli!

Immediately I hopped onto his profile, scrolled and scrolled and knew, I had to feature him for our plus size art feature! I mean, seeing our bodies, shapes, and beauty depicted is so affirming to me, that I know it has to impact more than a few of you… right?

Well, let me share with you the piece that caught my eye…

As a team member of the no hips and underbooty, I appreciated this picture! Bwahahaha! But for reals, I love how they also remind me of a few of the Disney characters, but the adult version! This could be because Gabriele Pennacchioli is currently an Animator/Designer and Anatomy consultant at Dreamworks!

He illustrates women of different colors, race, and body size; which is, in my opinion, these images, reach you in an emotionally positive way; they want you to connect with and at the same time, appeal to your eyes! I am screaming hellllllo thighs, you better push up, flip that hair honey at my phone.

Obviously I am geeked!

Let me show and share with you why!

Aren’t these images groundbreaking! I mean hello look how sexy they are, for sure they give me a boost of confidence to be the best I can be and show it off!

His use of vivid, bright colors paired with the animation look and feel are what pulled me in. He knows what he is doing… All these images portray strong confident, quirky, and vibrant women; living and loving life!

As you look through these images which one of the girls can you relate to, which one do you want as an inspiration, and which one just portrays to do that girl power we all work to achieve day by day?

Be sure to like some of his pics and check out his website for more information and inspiration at

How about this plus size art feature?

Until next time!

  1. I am all over this ! lol I love the white swimsuit pic and yes the first picture. That is me when I fall off those exercise balls and cant get up lol . I have that weird shape too like hips and upper butt but wheres the rest? my hips and thighs have saved this life lmao ( thank you jesus) Anyway I have heard of him but always forgot to follow. Now to have a pixar movie with a plus size woman as the main character and not just being a mom but maybe like cloudy with a chance of meatballs kinda girl.

  2. LOL @ no hips and underbooty. I’m here! Do we have weekly meetings? This was really great and thank you SO MUCH for sharing it with us. I absolutely love this. xo
