We interviewed transgender and non-binary people that self-identify as fat about their opinions on androgyny in fat fashion.
Every Cinderella deserves the perfect glass slippers. Or at least the perfect shoes! The one thing you will find in my closet is rows and rows of shoes. I am kind of obsessed. You may wonder why I love shoes so much? The truth is that no matter how small or large my waistline gets. No matter how tapped out my wardrobe budget may be for the month or year. Shoes are THE best accessories! They take your outfit from day to night. They make it playful, flirty or serious. Shoes are my bff’s and I have many.
Two cute girls welcomed me into the Corso Como and BALLASOX Fall 2013 collection preview. There were rows of fun designs, fabrics, heels, boots, and their ballet flats called BALLASOX. It’s a brand within a brand. BALLASOX is Corso Como’s exclusive flats that come with their own little bag. When you are done wearing them you fold them up, slip them in the little tote and throw them in your purse. But honestly they were too cute not to wear all the time every time.
What I loved most were the shoes that sported a heel. The heel was THE perfect height. When I sneaked a peek inside the shoes there was this little pillow of heaven made for your soles. They were comfortable, fashionable and chic for you to hit the streets. Girl, your footsies would be well taken care of with that little heavenly pillow protecting them.
I love a brand that speaks to you and gives you so many varieties that you just can’t bare the thought of wearing anything else. Corso Como was surprisingly extensive with an option for the multiple personalities we ladies sometimes tend to have. So if today you felt like wearing a rock star look trust me they have you covered. If tomorrow you are heading to a meeting they also have you covered.
Let me ask you something… if you were stranded on an island and you were only going to have one pair of shoes to your name would you want to be stranded with a pair of pumps or ballet flats?
