First Look: This Evans Tunic Dress
So, obviously, I am already in plan mode for my fall wardrobe. So I checked out Evans. Looking for pieces that will translate easily from California’s extended summer into fall. Meaning, I am looking for items that I can wear through the October and November heat (staying at about 80 last year) through January seamlessly.
With the sneak peek I got, I wanted to share with you the latest item that I want and need to have in my closet.
This Evans Tunic Dress:
It is both chic, classic, playful, and an essential that I want in my closet. I love this green color too, giving a nod to the subtle military trends for the season; I can see this tunic a few ways.
Depending on how this hits on me, I can get away with it a pair of ankle booties! Married with some hard gold accents- like rings, bracelets, and earrings, I can see this lasting a long time in the closet.
As it gets cooler, I can see this with leather looking leggings or opaque tights, a leather bomber, and chunkier or flat ankle booties.
Whether you are going to work (add a blazer) or on a date (add strappy gold heels) there are tons of ways that this tunic/ dress can work! And I am here for all of this.
If this green doesn’t tickle your fancy, there is always this pastel purple that is coming too! Too me, it is a bit sweeter and could be a great option for you, if sweet Is your thing!
Wait- Are you familiar with EVANS? This past spring, I had the chance to be a model in their campaign for Clement Ribeiro! The UK based brand is a part of the Arcadia brands which include TopShop and Dorothy Perkins! There are quite a few gems in this collection coming for fall, with this one being at the top of my list!
While this top is not available yet, you can still head over to Evans to the newest arrivals!
I like this style and will follow your blog for their arrival.
Long enough to be a dress for me with cute tights and ankle books. I might have to snag one myself.
Whenever I see straight tunics like this I want to add a belts so I would definitely add a belt. But something about the look of this fabric screams a loose low hip belt and nothing tight. I really like the pleats on the shoulders.
Yessss the loose low hip belt would look nice.
I have mixed emotions about this dress. It could be great with a belt, the colours are lovely and so are the pleat details. But the shape… let’s talk about that. On larger fats I fear that it would sausage up in all the wrong places, or just be a shapeless muumuu.
But damn, it looks SO COMFY.
