How Plus Size Plus Size Street Style Wowed at NYFW

There’s no denying that September New York Fashion Week is my favorite. Not only because fall in NYC is so much nicer than blizzardy February, and not just because it’s fun to look forward to the bright & bold spring styles that grace the runway, but because NYFW becomes inundated with fatshionistas, thanks to Curvy Con. 

Three years ago when Curvy Con moved their dates to align with NYFW I was thrilled; after years of paltry showings of plus sizes on the runway and in the seats, there were more curvy fashionistas taking up space every September.

How fun were these looks! Curvy Con has helped to usher in plus size fashion in an amazing way for New York Fashion Week. This move gives us more visibility and platforms for plus size people and brands to join the fashion conversation on a larger stage.
