Founded in 2019 by sisters Kimberly Lockett, a celebrity stylist, and Keyondra Lockett, a Grammy Award-winning gospel artist, Jolie Noire was born from a desire to create clothing that reflected the beauty, confidence, and strength of Black women. The sisters recognized a lack of representation in contemporary fashion and built a brand centered on visibility, empowerment, and community. The brand specializes in elevated athleisure, graphic apparel, matching sets, hoodies, joggers, dresses, and lifestyle pieces that combine comfort with polished design. Rather than separating straight and plus-size collections, Jolie Noire offers the same styles across its full size range, reinforcing its commitment to true size inclusivity. Sizes currently extend through 5XL. Jolie Noire has become widely recognized for campaigns celebrating Black culture, motherhood, sisterhood, and entrepreneurship. Much of the brand’s photography features the founders themselves alongside diverse Black women, reinforcing authenticity and representation in every collection. Today, Jolie Noire continues to grow as both a fashion label and lifestyle movement, inspiring women to embrace confidence while celebrating Black identity through thoughtfully designed apparel and inclusive sizing.
