ELOQUII was originally launched by The Limited in 2011 as an experimental plus-size division focused on bringing runway-inspired fashion to women wearing sizes 14 and above. Although the brand developed a loyal customer following, The Limited discontinued it in 2013 as part of a broader business restructuring. Rather than allowing the brand to disappear, several members of the original ELOQUII leadership team secured private investment and relaunched the company as an independent direct-to-consumer business in 2014. The relaunch quickly established ELOQUII as one of the fashion industry’s most recognizable destinations for trend-driven plus-size apparel, offering bold colors, statement silhouettes, tailored workwear, occasion dresses, denim, swimwear, and contemporary separates designed specifically for curve bodies. Unlike many mainstream retailers that simply grade up straight-size garments, ELOQUII develops its collections exclusively for plus-size customers, placing significant emphasis on fit, proportion, and fashion-forward design. The brand has collaborated with designers, influencers, Kate Spade New York, Walmart, and numerous creators while consistently showcasing diverse models and championing body confidence. In 2023, ELOQUII was acquired by FullBeauty Brands, providing new investment while maintaining its independent creative direction. Under Creative Director Yesenia Torres, the brand has experienced renewed growth, earning praise for elevated collections and becoming one of the few major fashion labels continuing to invest aggressively in size-inclusive fashion.
