Founded in 2015 by Harvard Business School classmates Nadia Boujarwah and Lydia Gilbert, Dia & Co was created to address the lack of stylish, accessible shopping options for plus-size women. Recognizing that the majority of American women wear sizes 10 and above, the founders built a platform dedicated exclusively to serving this often-overlooked market. Dia & Co originally launched as a personalized styling subscription service, sending customers curated Dia Style Boxes based on their measurements, preferences, budget, and lifestyle. The service quickly gained popularity for providing a shopping experience tailored specifically to plus-size customers, combining expert styling with the convenience of at-home try-ons. As the company expanded, Dia & Co evolved into a comprehensive fashion marketplace carrying hundreds of brands across categories including dresses, denim, workwear, lingerie, activewear, swimwear, and luxury fashion. In 2022, the company acquired luxury retailer 11 Honoré, significantly expanding its premium designer offerings and strengthening its position as a one-stop destination for plus-size fashion. Today, Dia & Co serves millions of customers across the United States through its styling service and online marketplace. Beyond retail, the company has collaborated with brands such as Diane von Furstenberg, championed greater representation within the fashion industry, and continues to advocate for broader access to stylish clothing for women in extended sizes.
