Vawk S/S 2011 Collection: Age, Race, and Size Diversity on forefront

I fell in love with VAWK when Sunny Fong, Canadian project runway winner, showcased VAWK at Toronto Fashion Week. Beautiful fashions aside, what really caught my attention were his delightful incorporations of DIVERSITY.

Use of beautiful models of all walks:

Various races, Various ages, Various sizes

For Spring/Summer 2011, VAWK comes back bringing ethnic inspirations in flowing silk, leopard chiffons juxtaposed against leather banded belts, structured jackets, and playful swim wear- all showcased in a variety of beautiful and unexpected models.

What I admire mostly is that his incorporation of beauty is not stunt-like, but it is natural. It is not like, “Oooh I have a plus size woman in my collection,” but moreso, “Look at how beautiful these clothes are on all women!”
