Yesterday… ahhhh. What a rejuvenating day, spent with my sister and her family, my mother, and my grandmother (along with my godmother and brother in law and stepfather!) It was such a beautiful day. Cooking, laughing, chatting, and relaxing with family.
Ahhh, how do I love these days. Knowing that I had this new dress I salivated over last week, I rocked this day, relaxed and playful in my new score from ModCloth!
Now, I am more than happy to have snatched this dress up when I did, see… it was all that and then some. I am also happy that I ordered the 2X (I am right around a 16/18 and 5’8”) and this dress was perfect. I am or never really am one to rock a dropped waist type of dress, but this one? Yes. IT WAS FULLY LINED TOO.
Thank the fashion gods for lining, because otherwise, everyone and their mother could see all of my business (but thanks to the nude-ish chonies I rocked or it would have been an interesting day).
This dress is long too, being that I paired it with my five inch wedges from just fab. SO barefoot? It would perfectly graze the ground with a little more room to play in (partly the main reason why I got the 2X). The way it laid on my curves? I loved. I adored. I would rock ten times over in varying ways. Here, I paired it with an orange/coral-ish blazer that Eloquii sent me to pull out the coral/orange flowers at the bottom of my dress. JUST in case our time spent at my mother’s house required me to be a bit more formal, I had options here!

But there is more. Just because I view family important and dear to me, I wanted to share with you a few generations of family! My Grandmother Marie (yes, I was named after her and she snapped today’s pics!!!), and her great-granddaughter, my sister’s baby girl, Zoee! Here we are with my mother and my sister (who is expecting again!!!) and my nana!
