My Style: Denim on Denim is Giving Me the Blues

Denim on Denim. Do you dare? I have long wanted to test the waters here in this denim trend. But the OG in me says NO. The daredevil in me says GO! So whenever I sit at a crossroads, if my spidey senses aren’t holding me back, I live life with no regrets! LOLOL and that is JUST what I did when I attempted this denim on denim trend!

My Style- Denim on Denim is Giving Me the Blues I went with this denim button up from Wal-Mart a few seasons back and FINALLY found a great pair of blues to rock this with! These jeans come from Mynt 1792 and let me tell you, these jeans hugged the booty. Like, a ‘heyyy boo’ type of hug. You know what I mean. They were not too stretchy either, meaning they wouldn’t lose their shape.

My Style- Denim on Denim is Giving Me the BluesA lower rise than I am used to, these jeans I could see being timeless because of the rinse. I am thinking these to be more day time cute and casual than evening- but only because of the color. The Five Pocket Skinny jean I will keep around for a while. I can see these paring perfectly to the chunky sweaters and thigh high boots. YES. PS. When was the last time you checked out Mynt 1792? They have some newness you have to see! HAVE TO!

I like the length too of these, being 5’8” with a 32 inch inseam. With heels or flats, they are great in the length. I think if these denim were a smidge higher in the waist, I would DIE over them. But only because my weight changes and they happen to cut across where my weight fluctuates!

My Style- Denim on Denim is Giving Me the BluesI paired this denim look with a pointed toe animal print heel by Louise et Cie via HauteLook and my trusty green Koret Bag!

My Style- Denim on Denim is Giving Me the BluesYou can score the Mynt1792 Five Pocket Jeans here!

I feel like I can check something off my tried it corner! I am all for trying new things, finding out what I really like and what does work the best for me! Woot!

Can you see yourself playing with this trend? Is this something that is too much or just enough? Let’s talk!

  1. I remember a few years ago (i was in college) when that editorial with Crystal Renn wearing denim/denim came out and after that i wore denim/denim like Non-stop…at least twice a week (it got out of hand. lol) It’s perfect because denim is super comfortable; so the “texan tuxedo” is always a winner in my book & I’m glad your spidey senses didn’t steer you from this one since you rocked this outfit so effortlessly–I love everything about your look!

  2. Love denim on denim! Can always add shirt/tank under shirt for color. Toss in a bright colored scarf or some cool jewelry. So versatile!! Denim never goes out of style!!!
