I have long been a fan of Shoes of Prey. I remember when they first popped on the scene, over 5 years ago… a company that allows you to literally design every detail of your ideal shoe. I have played around with their designer, online, imaging the various styles that I hoped that I could have in my closet… Until now! Shoes of Prey invited me to design my own shoes and have a little fun, which is exciting for the size-10-wide-width-shoe-wearing woman!
So, what does one design when given the chance to create their own shoes? Girl…. it was hard. It was a challenge, but I did settle down on a fun style. Because spring is all about mules, white shoes have reared its head, and I needed something with a bit of comfort and stability, I decided to have a little fun with the Alesia 100!
A pointed toe and hint of skin create a striking transeasonal mule. Cushioned sole construction keeps you running your day in comfort. Designed with White Nappa Leather.
How did I customize my mules?
Well, for starters, I had a little fun with the toe, making sure it was a pointed one. I also opted for a different heel, not a stiletto and a little more fun than a traditional block heel. On the inside, I made sure the trim and lining both complemented and contrasted itself perfectly, with a white trim and black lining!
When I received them, I was impressed- not knowing what to expect! Ohhhh and I also had the chance to put my own personal inscription inside the shoes, in silver ink, to read: Shoes of Prey x The Curvy Fashionista! How fancy is that!?!
Let me tell you, the leather was soft, the width was perfect, especially for the mule to not be a wide width, and the heel height was perfect! Immediately, I wanted to pair my heels with my new NYDJ Jenna Straight Ankle Jeans that have a cool raw hem! I wanted to take this look in a completely different way for me… thinking creative business professional, pairing my jeans with a bold spring blazer that I scored a few years back from Lane Bryant! A sheer button up and tah dah!
These shoes are going to get a great wear over the seasons, I already know… and even now? I am thinking about the various shoes that I can create, knowing that they offer shoes in sizes 2 to 15 and in Narrow, Wide and Extra Wide widths in most styles!
Wide width boots? You can design them. Playful tennis shoes? Ohhh, yes. Fancy and flirty Flats? How creative can you get?
You can create your own shoes at ShoesofPrey.com!
Ohhhh and because I love you, you can use my code: THECURVYFASHIONISTA for a free personal inscription inside your new pair of heels, valued at $49!
No matter your style, you can have a little fun, designing a pair of high quality, contemporary shoes options with them… and after all this time, I am happy to have my own pair of Shoes of Prey to strut in!
And if designing them is too much, did you know that you can shop pre-made styles at Nordstrom, too? Ohhh yes! How about that!?!
Special thank you to Howell Designs for the photos!
Soooo what do you think of my shoes? Of my look? Of how I paired my mules with these jeans? Fun, right?
Let’s discuss below!
