My Style: Such an Effing Lady in eShakti

Marie Denee and Taye Hansberry

from Taye’s Instagram

So, I had the pleasure of attending my blogger girlfriend’s event this past weekend (thank you Taye!) and I had a blast! I mean, it said Garden Zen, it was in the middle of the day, and I had the perfect dress to wear! Andddd can we geek out for a moment about how I met Issa Rae from the Awkward Black Girl Webseries? GEEKED! And she is wayyyy too cool for words- OKAY?

WOOT!

eShakti Plus Size Dress Review

You see, eShakti shot me over a gift card to play in, and that I did. I have featured eShakti more than a few times on the blog. They offer some solid options, go up to a size 36W, and allow for customization on a few items! AND THIS DRESS? I took full advantage of this option!

I rocked the Brooklyn dress, but there are no more on the site ALTHOUGH, I did find its sister style here, the Havana Dress in royal blue. You can go spotty in the polka dot version of the exact dress I am wearing here or a more streamlined version with the Vivid Poplin number.  I opted for the customization option and made it a mid-calf length. I wanted something sweet and playful!

And guess what? IT HAS POCKETS! Woot!

My dress was cotton poplin and it wrinkled a bit although I ironed the mess out of this dress… LOL

But, I felt playful, sweet, sassy and quite nice! A great strapless had the girls subtly on deck! If I was fuller-busted (I am a 38 DD), this bodice still would have worked out just fine! I did think about playing with a belt, but I liked the simplicity and the boldness of this dress!

I paired my dress with my Sam Edelman cork peep toe heels and my L’Oreal Paris USA “New Money” green nails!

Right now they have a buy one get one 50% off! Through the 20th!

I cannot wait to play in this customization option more! Sooo good!

What do you think? Was my dress a spring garden score? How would you wear it?
