I am not sure if you saw, but last month I shared that I was a dubbed a Fashion Authority with Addition Elle (soooo cool right!?! I am hyped about this) and that I would be sharing a few of my favorite looks and why they are my must haves! Well, today, I am back with another look and pick and it is actually kind of really fun!
You see, it is already 5000 degrees with the humidity on 1000%. I imagine that I will probably be naked this summer.
Do not judge me. To keep a little cool, I chose this really awesome two piece tropical printed set that immediately made me want to go on a vacation and that was PERFECT for the humid summer I am about to experience.
I have had a thing for and have adored two piece sets in all of its forms. Once I saw this swing top and skirted short set, I knew that this was going to be a fun look… I knew that there would be a bit of frolicking, dancing, and twirling, because the set was so damned comfortable.
With this lightweight cotton, I could definitely lounge around the house, handle a few errands, walk on the beach, sip a MaiTai at the pool bar… basically for the summer, if I did not want to be bothered but still feel cute; this was one of those sets that I would rock- AND DID!
Here is how I rocked it:
And because I live in the south and in the forest, the humidity is soooo on its way and I am scared. However, it made for a really cool backdrop!
But what made this set really work?
The lightweight cotton, for one BUT the cut of the shorts makes them look like a skirt AND they have pockets! Pockets. With the cut of the shorts, you do not have to worry about the summer chub rub! Hrpmh.
And with the swing top, you could break it apart and pair it back with a fitted black midi with a strappy stiletto and take your look for a night on the town! Your shorts? Bathing suit cover up anyone? Ideas, options, and variety! I love it!
You can peep/shop my edit, my picks and a few other gems I found over at AdditionElle.com!
What do you think about my set? How would you rock it and make it yours?
PS. A special thank you to my photog, Chase Reign for the shots!
