My Adventures in Style with Gwynnie Bee

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of heading on up to Gwynnie Bee’s headquarters to play in some clothes, shoot a few looks, and talk plus size fashion! You know, these past nine years of blogging has shown me a lot about myself…

I have learned how to step out of my comfort zone and learn how to live and thrive in the uncomfortable spaces! You know, being vulnerable, taking risks, and putting myself out there.

With my personal style, as I sprinkle it throughout the site, it has grown, evolved, and taken on its own personality! One which I am digging!

I have gotten comfy behind the computer, but taking leaps of faith to explore my personal style? This has been an intentional step.

I always find that the places where you resist the most bring the best out in you! It is the greatest fears and those challenges that you have to embrace!

In pieces from the newest arrivals from Gwynnie Bee and was shot by the uber fly Lydia Hudgens! She is a bad ass and I had soooooo much fun!

Not only did I do a fun shoot, but I also curated my top picks, and did a fun little interview!

Which looks are your favorite? Let me know!

Have you ever found yourself loving items you initially thought were NOT going to work? Which silhouettes have you thought would never work for you- only to try them on and fall in love? Girl… this was me throughout this shoot!

  1. Congratulations Marie! I’m so geeked and happy for you! I’ve been following you for a while now and have witnessed your growth with my own eyes. It’s refreshing, inspiring and uplifting. In fact, you were one of the people who inspired me to begin blogging my own personal style. Thank you for your transparency and being true to who you are. Something you mentioned in the article has resonated with me:
“I always find that the places where you resist the most and have the greatest fear are the challenges that you have to embrace!”
I have truly been struggling with the idea of continuing to blog. This statement gives me encouragement to push through my fears and embrace challenges head on! Thank you again! Oh, and sorry I wrote a mini novel on your blog post…LOL!
