Welcome to another edition of Style & Scopes, your monthly plus size style horoscope!
There has been quite the influx of plus size on the runways for fashion week and for Lingerie Fashion Week in New York, they sent a varied range of women down the runway in the latest trends and designs for the spring season- INCLUDING plus sizes! I am ready and here for all of it too! In its 4th season, second year, I see that this fashion week is purposely making a statement- one that I look forward to be an integral part of their lineups for years to come!
“From the beginning we envisioned Lingerie Fashion Week® as a platform to embrace and celebrate a wide range of intimate apparel brands, and hence body types, from petite to full bust to full figure to maternity. Lingerie is not one-size-fits-all, and neither are the women who wear it – on, and off, the runway. This is evidenced by designers of our latest season truly embracing the diversity of the female form, as lines including Tia Lyn, Harlow & Fox, Kocolala, Secrets in Lace & more sent curvy models down the runway…” – Lauren Rich, Founder, Lingerie Fashion Week
Lingerie Fashion Week showcased 25 designers from around the world! Impressive. Held on October 24th & 25th at Center548 in Manhattan’s gallery district, Lingerie Fashion Week entertained not only plus size models, but pregnant and breast cancer survivors! Talk about variety and diversity. I am quite impressed and look forward to one day attending these shows!
I know, I know, you want to see the lingerie, well get ready and let me share!
