Slim Bashar Brown, 31, discovered his overweight clients hated having to go to salons to get their hair cut where all the facilities were designed for “normal-sized” people. So Bashar, from Rainham, Kent, decided to open the UK’s first hair salon for fat people – giving them their very own hairdressing haven. Bashar spent £5,000 making sure his entire salon was fat friendly – complete with special seats, gowns, and even wider-neck basins for washing hair.
