My Style: My Birthday Month, A Labor Day Sale and Fashion Inspiration with Simply Be!

Sharing is caring!

Now if you do not know, I have been a longtime fan, supporter of, and customer of Simply Be. It was in this journey of blogging that I found them 7ish years ago, and ever since, I have been sharing, rocking, and playing their styles and fashionable options.

So when I had the chance to partner with Simply Be to rock out in a few faves that would be perfect for Labor Day weekend, I jumped at the chance!

It is officially my birthday month! Right now, I am in a weird transitional place- personally, emotionally, and professionally- as I approach 35 (THIRTY-FIVE?). I have been challenging myself to break out of my comfort zones, to face my fears, and to be honest with myself.

In doing this, I have been learning just what I am made of, loving myself a lot more, and playing in a few more shapes and silhouettes that I would normally shy away from.

I must say, this is a place of being uncomfortable and vulnerable. BUT! In this time of facing these fears and pushing through my growth, this means showing and sharing a bit more, being more transparent, and at times, diving or leaping!

So today’s looks, I am doing JUST that… I mean… I have loved the look of a body suit, but the chances of me rocking one? Nope.

So I faced my nervousness and whatever else-ness and stepped out in a look that I know will be fun for my birthday month AND for Labor Day weekend!

I have been somewhat of a hermit in my home, and the only times I have really gone OUT has been for work related events… and I have a bit of cabin fever. So in order to step out, have fun, and play- I needed to step up and out, in a fit that would make me feel a little saucy!

Because their jeans fit me so well, I played in these fun Chloe Skinny jeans with the frayed hem! I do not rock black denim much, but these distressed ones? Made me feel a bit rock and roll and playful!

Paired with this blush pink body suit, I wanted to amp up the bold and sexy look, without doing too much! Hehehe…

In my former life, I probably would have either tucked in a top or gone the all black route, but I am a woman in transition right now, trying to break out of my shell…

But perfect for a party with the girls, I love this look because not only will this work for Labor Day, BUT each piece will transition easily in the fall season! Pairing the blush with deep wines and browns?

Yup! The denim with chunky knits and ankle booties? Mmhmmm.

But even better? For the Labor Day weekend, you can enjoy an exclusive discount to Simply Be!

  1. I know there’s probably not much you can do, but I saw ads for a scam-y clothes company on your blog page. Stylewe is one of the many companies that are listed as scams on the SCAM ALERT & Real Customer Reviews (Zaful, Rosegal, DressLily, etc.) page.

  2. Love Simply Be! Have purchased more than a few pieces in the past few years. They fit true to size, are reasonably priced and they are good about returns. I especially like the Joe Browns line. The other thing I liked from the start is the one price philosophy from size 8 to 28. That always rocks!

  3. You look great, love your hair! Happy birthday to us Virgos! The 30s are the prime of life, enjoy them…I’d love to see 35 again LOL!
