My Style- ASOS Curve Black Label Rocked to the California Plus America Pageant

Sharing is caring!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of being a judge for the California Plus America Pageant. I was quite honored. But since this was a pageant, I knew I had to come with it… especially since I would be surrounded by fabulous gowns of the contestants and current queens!

Immediately I thought to myself, I am going to rock my new black label dress from ASOS Curve. I remember when this dress was introduced in the ASOS Curve Black Label look book. I remember being intrigued and fascinated by this dress. So, when I heard that the dress hit the site and SOLD OUT immediately, except in a 16, I knew it was MEANT for me to rock and to have.

I KNEW IT.

SO, for this event, I wanted to go in a different direction than the others… hey, I was a judge, so no need for a gown from me.

Now, this ASOS Curve Black Label Dress in person:

ASOS Curve Black Label Dress

This ASOS Curve Black Label Dress was even more amazing in real life. The detailing was insane- in a great way. Honestly, I do not think I have seen something in plus sizes so intricately detailed that was NOT a ball gown or special occasion dress.

Anywho…

It was NOT heavy. It looks like it would be, but it was NOT. In addition to this, the dress has NO STRETCH. So, the relaxed look of this dress, I admire and love… because stretchy curves and beading? This would be quite difficult. At first, I was concerned about the pop of a few beads, with the fitting of the dress, but I only love about three beads! WOOT!

Sometimes I thought I could do a shorter length of a dress, but this was perfect, especially since this dress did not have ANY stretch.

I paired this dress with my LAMB Booties and silver rings!

There is ONLY a size 14 left!!! on ASOS Curve, should any more come in stock, I will let you know!

What do you think? Did this work?? How would you have rocked it?
