I have always adored Modcloth… Sweet, vintage, playful, quirky, laidback, and above all- chic. What I loved even more were the pieces fashioned with a little play room!
So, thinking outside my “size” box, I happily jumped at the chance to review dresses chosen from their really cool “Be the Buyer” top pics. Quickly, I chose the Morning Hour Dress- A denim mini dress with sweet detailing!
Normally, I would not opt for such a sweet dress, but I saw the multiple ways I could sashay this lightweight denim frock into my Boho Luxe lifestyle! With a pintucked upper bodice, empire waist, and POCKETS!!!! I was geeked!
As a size 16/18 (depending on the designer), I opted for an L- pushing it! However, when I received the dress, I was surprised! Taking a gander at the feedback and handy sizing guides, I was HAPPY!
Going for a daytime casual look- to run about town with my lil sister and my nephew, I chose to pair this dress with a vintage sweater I picked up from a YARD Sale for $1! Paired with my (nude to me) Simply Be Over the Knee boots, I think it works for me!!!!
I really liked the light stretch, because my “girls” needed it! I adored the exposed zipper in the back- so I am making a statement coming and going! However, at 5’8” this dress had me feeling like my BE-hind was hanging out (although my sister assured me I was in the clear)!
What I do love is the plentiful ways that I can pair and wear this dress! Here as a dress, and next with white jeggings, high stacked wedges, and bright and bold accessories! Tights and flats with a sweet cardigan in the early Fall! I love this dress!
I am not the one who buys things with only one way to wear- I need my wardrobe to have depth and options to match my multiple Virgo moods… and THIS dress is perfect for just that!
What do you think? Right on trend for spring with Denim trending, do you like my dress and how I styled it?
Let me know and in the meantime, make sure you check out Mod Cloth, the Morning Hour Dress, and the Be the Buyer pics!
