Florals for spring? Every time I think of florals, I immediately think of the gif/scene of The Devil Wears Prada, rolling her eyes, with a “groundbreaking” exhale… However, there happens to be more than a few fun floral frock to play in for spring, and today, I happen to have found a new fave from plus size retailer, City Chic.
Immediately, I threw on this fit and flare midi dress, paired back with my cleavage-giving strapless bra (from City Chic too) and took to the streets! I had to show and tell, showing off this dress and telling you all about the fit, details, and what makes this dress really exciting for me!
Now, if you have not had the chance to rock a strapless dress from city chic, then please let me break it down to you! Almost all strapless dresses have a soft or light boning to give structure and support to your girls. Add to the fact that my uber favorite strapless bra is from them… well… these girls are sitting and feeling supported!
And most of their dresses? Honey, they are lined! Some with a light Tulle underlay, some with their satin lining, all depending on fabrication and styling of the dresses- a detail that other brands can overlook, but something that impressed me, when we were first acquainted!
Anywho, I opted for a size small, which is a size 16. I find I am in that weird middle inbetween size… a 16/18. But I wanted to feel snatched up in the middle, so I went with the small! Paired back with my Simply Be heels and a silver clutch, I was ready to go!
I must admit, I do love a great midi dress- no matter if it is fitted or flared. Something about this hemline gets me all hyped and excited. Feeling a little polished and sassy!
An even better accessory? Mother nature! Ha! Overcast skies and this barely blooming tree matched my dress perfectly!
