I love finding new brands to play in, especially indie brands who want to give us more in plus size fashion. Over on FB, I was contacted by a cool European brand, Metamorphoza who wanted to share and show what they could offer the plus size woman and curiosity led me to their Etsy store and I have to admit I was both intrigued and inspired.
If you know me, then you know that I have a strong love for all things black and white… it is actually kind of embarrassing, but it is what I like and love! Knowing that I was headed to New York for both fun and play, I rocked out in this Black and White striped maxi skirt! As I pranced around the Soho-ish area with Sha-Sha from A Thick Girl’s Closet, we snapped these pics! But can I tell you about this skirt though? Like the fabrication and fit? After I sent her my measurements and height, I got this maxi skirt that hit the floor JUST RIGHT! I mean at 5’8” I straddle that line of either just too short or amazingly too long… LOL HOWEVER, this skirt and my flats? Yes boo!
To shop their collection, you can just follow this size chart, shoot them your measurements to ensure an amazing fit, like how I did!
Add in the substantial construction of this skirt and playful pockets? All I wanted to do was twirl and leap across town! Paired with an ASOS Curve Body con dress (the other tank I brought wasn’t quite right) and my amazingly comfortable Lane Bryant flats, I was in love with this look!
Created by Veselina and partner, we are inspired by all women who want to be different, who are not afraid to stand out, who follow their dreams, who don’t want to be just another fashion cliché, the women who can’t stop changing and reinventing themselves.
We experiment with different forms, shapes and silhouettes. We believe clothes can be a message to others, so every one of our pieces is not only a fashion statement, but also a social message.
In addition to this skirt, I have a few other pieces that I cannot wait to play in! A fun white shirt and a sassy maxi dress! Definitely a site for pieces for those of you who are looking to build your closet with unique shapes and silhouettes!
What do you think of my look? Are you a fan of this skirt? Let’s discuss!
