One of the season’s hottest prints that is EVERYWHERE, is gingham. And I love it. I have been steadily collecting a few pieces and today I wanted to share with you my latest score and skirt that brings a smile to my face. I have wanted to play in gingham print all season and with one of their many sales, I snatched up this gingham midi skirt from Eloquii and decided to have a bit of fun!
This skirt gave it to me for a few reasons. The first and obvious one is the print. Hello gingham. But. BUT! It is also a midi, has a soft waistband for the belly, AND it has pockets! POCKETS! GAHHH! Put a pocket in something and I promise you, I am yours. ANYWHO. I wanted a fun skirt for the spring and summer season that I could have a bit of fun with, could make my own, and that would get used for a few seasons.
You see, I rarely buy something that will only last me one or two wears. This applies to the style, design, AND quality of the item. Trust. If I find something that I love and I have to start my search for it all over again, all because it could not hold up after two washes? NOPE. Pissed. So, I am picky and particular and as I am going through my own transition of personal style, it is even more important to be intentional and aware! HA!
So I paired this skirt with a crop top, because… hey spring and summer and why not?! I was already feeling a little flirty and this top just helped it from not going too sweet and just enough to give it a bit of an edge! Paired with my ASOS Wide Width heels and my new Rebecca Minkoff score from Bloomies, I am ready for the warm weather and the brunches with the girls that this look calls for! Ohhh and maybe with a change of the heel, for the many summer festivals to come!
What do you think of my look? How do you feel about gingham? Let’s talk!
