Fourth of July, a time for barbecues, pool parties, family, and amazing desserts- at least for me it always is! Add to that, I live on the west coast, about 60 miles outside of LA, so you can believe it is H-O-T. Like desert hot. Hence why I live in maxi dresses.
So, if I had the option to hang with the family this year, it would be in a maxi dress- no surprise there! As I shared in posts past, I am a part of #ZapposStyle, and they asked me what I would rock for the Fourth of July by choosing a fit from Zappos. Normally, I would steer away from rocking out with the traditional red, white, and blue motif BUT.
My favorite color is blue.
Like, royal blue is my weakness, although in my grown years… red has been doing it for me.
What I Would Rock for Fourth of July at Zappos
So when I peeped this Culture Phit Tank dress, I KNEW my maxi dress prayers had been answered. But I wanted to play it up a bit. Just a little bit and have fun in my new dress. If you know me, then you know that I need to be able to rock an item like five ways in my head before I even buy it. Hands down.
This is when I wish I had more curvaceous hips. I missed that one. LOLOLOL
This dress in an XL fit my curves. HEY boo heyyyy and since the boo loves a maxi, he is in for a treat… Or this is my frame of thought! This dress is hella long too, I am 5’8” and it still grazed the ground with me in flats! I paired this dress (mind you the cotton is HELLA SOFT) with a silver belt, my Babooshka Shades and ring and ASOS Curve midi rings, and my Charles Jourdan bag I snapped up at Saks, it was a perfect as I pranced around town to run errands.
I imagine this with a fun blazer, sleeveless denim jacket, or a white relaxed button up tied at the waist- all depending on my mood for the day!
