This past week, I had the honor of being a panelist at Blogalicious in Atlanta. My topic? “Ten Steps to Mastering your Niche.”
I am not going to lie, I was a bit nervous. So, I KNEW I had to FEEL good and that included being comfortable and feeling chic. So when Monif C sent me the “Dominique” color block cold shoulder dress in this YUMMY blue, I knew immediately what I was going to wear to speak! And I am happy I chose this dress!
This dress, fit my size 16 frame perfectly. Choosing the 1X, this dress was not too tight or snug nor was it too loose in the wrong areas. There was also a bit of stretch in this dress so that it could move with my curves and random bouts of dancing… I am quite prone to this.
Now, I must say, I would not have normally chosen this dress, but I am happy I did. The peek-a-boo sheer inset and the shoulder cutouts were interesting and playful! I have a severe love affair with blue, so this was an easy winner for me. I think I would have loved to see this in a long sleeved option, but it worked and did its job!
In the end, I think I worked my presentation and my look! I paired my dress with my pointed toe heels I snatched up at Just Fab- man, this site is sooo addictive!
I didn’t get a pic, but the back? SEGZY with an exposed gold zipper! So, I accessorized with gold jewels to give my Marie spin to it, stacking up the rings, especially my NEW Karen London ring I snatched up from Ideeli! WOOT! My pinky ring I won from Swarovski is one of my catch all faves too!
