I am geeked! I have NEVER been to Blogalicious, “THE go-to destination for influential multicultural women social media enthusiasts from all over the world to collaborate, connect and uplift one another.” Basically, it is a blogger conference celebrating diversity in blogging across all genres in the blogging world!
I have heard of it and always have wanted to go, but it always was either too far or out of my budget. HOWEVER this year, with it being set in Las Vegas (only a state away), I HAD to be there! And with my boo, Sharelle from Classy Black Girl as one of the Blogalicious Ambassadors from the Bay Area, I KNOW it’s about to go DOWN!
As I enter into my fourth year (YES FOUR YEARS!!!) in blogging, you’d think I would have been attended these conferences, but alas, I haven’t and made sure to make it a point to attend at least one a year (this one was on the list!). Next year, I plan on attending at least three (I already got my BlogHer tickets!)
But I digress.
So for Blogalicious, I am really hyped. I have my schedule set, my tech tools together, the apps, and I am working on the wardrobe. So, what I would do is share with you my top three goals for this conference and my checklist! I mean, I am sure YOU head out to conferences and have a game plan yes? Well, I thought I’d share with you mines!
My Goals for Blogalicious:
- Make new friends and meet the faces behind Twitter and Facebook. There are quite a few people I have been following over the past 3 years I have spent online that I have never met! This is the perfect time to reach out and touch offline! I am really excited about this.
- Leave with actionable next steps for the Blog. I believe in the adage: “if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.” I have quite few ideas of what to do next for the blog, but I plan on taking back with me a clearer picture of how to grow the blog!
- Establish new relationships with bloggers and brands. The business of blogging is all about relationships. I am already excited about the brands that will be sponsoring the conference, but I am also excited about opportunities with fellow bloggers that could come of this! EXCITED!
Missed out on this conference? No worries! You will be able to follow along! If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram, I will be sharing away! You can also follow @BeBlogalicious on Twitter and the #Blogalicious12 Hashtag!
