While fashion week is over in Manhattan, and not many designers showing their fierceness for our curves, Brooklyn’s bringing it to you indie style…for the curvy kittens and the fat cats! That’s right! Saturday, September 12, ReDress NYC is hosting this special event for you!
In the heart of Brooklyn, lies REDRESS NYC (if you do not know, only one of the coolest plus size vintage and resale consignment boutiques around)Redress is hosting this indie trunk show to support designers who are catering to your curves for the plus size fashionistas.
Deb Malkin, owner of ReDress, has corralled small independent designers who focus their creative energies on making amazing one of a kind, vintage or retro inspired fashions for the curvy fashionista, sizes Large to 5x. Their clothing is not found in any NYC stores outside of this one weekend sale.
Queen by Bertha Pearl: One of a kind, limited edition and custom clothing along with fun and comfy boxers and robes. She melds her Fat Activism, love of fabric and passion for the dramatic into fabulous clothes that show off all the curves, and fit the body with comfort and ease. She’s also exploring eco, organic and bamboo fabrics.
